The King of Love My Shepherd Is

1 The King of love my shepherd is,

whose goodness faileth never;

I nothing lack if I am his

and he is mine forever.

2 Where streams of living water flow,

my ransomed soul he leadeth

and, where the verdant pastures grow,

with food celestial feedeth.

3 Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,

but yet in love he sought me,

and on his shoulder gently laid,

and home, rejoicing, brought me.

4 In death's dark vale I fear no ill,

with thee, dear Lord, beside me,

thy rod and staff my comfort still;

thy cross before to guide me.

5 Thou spreadst a table in my sight;

thine unction grace bestoweth;

and, oh, what transport of delight

from thy pure chalice floweth!

6 And so, through all the length of days,

thy goodness faileth never.

Good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise

within thy house forever.

Text: Henry W. Baker, 1821-1877

The Lord's My Shepherd

1 The Lord's my shepherd; I'll not want.

he makes me down to lie

in pastures green; he leadeth me

the quiet waters by.

He leadeth me, he leadeth me

the quiet waters by.

2 My soul he doth restore again,

and me to walk doth make

within the paths of righteousness,

e'en for his own name's sake;

within the paths of righteousness,

e'en for his own name's sake.

3 Yea, though I walk in death's dark vale,

yet will I fear no ill;

for thou art with me, and thy rod

and staff me comfort still;

for thou art with me, and thy rod

and staff me comfort still.

4 My table thou hast richly spread

in presence of my foes;

my head thou dost with oil anoint,

and my cup overflows.

My head thou dost with oil anoint,

and my cup overflows.

5 Goodness and mercy all my life

shall surely follow me,

and in God's house forevermore

my dwelling-place shall be;

and in God's house forevermore

my dwelling-place shall be.

Have No Fear, Little Flock

1 Have no fear, little flock;

have no fear, little flock,

for the Father has chosen

to give you the kingdom;

have no fear, little flock!

2 Have good cheer, little flock;

have good cheer, little flock,

for the Father will keep you

in his love forever;

have good cheer, little flock!

3 Praise the Lord high above;

praise the Lord high above,

for he stoops down to heal you,

uplift and restore you;

praise the Lord high above!

4 Thankful hearts raise to God;

thankful hearts raise to God,

for he stays close beside you,

in all things works with you;

thankful hearts raise to God!

Savior, like a Shepherd Lead Us

1 Savior, like a shepherd lead us;

much we need your tender care.

In your pleasant pastures feed us,

for our use your fold prepare.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

you have bought us; we are yours.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

you have bought us; we are yours.

2 We are yours; in love befriend us,

be the guardian of our way;

keep your flock, from sin defend us,

seek us when we go astray.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

hear us children when we pray.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

hear us children when we pray.

3 You have promised to receive us,

poor and sinful though we be;

you have mercy to relieve us,

grace to cleanse, and pow'r to free.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

early let us turn to you.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

early let us turn to you.

4 Early let us seek your favor,

early let us do your will;

blessed Lord and only Savior,

with your love our spirits fill.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

you have loved us, love us still.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,

you have loved us, love us still.
