Everyone sins, causing hurt and destruction to themselves and others. "Forgiveness" means being unwilling to harbor grudges, carry burdens, or seek revenge against those who have hurt us. But forgiveness does not necessarily mean continuing in the relations. "Reconciliation" means being willing to re-engage the person who hurt you.
