The Trinity (God in three persons) appears at least twice in the scriptures. First, when God creates the heavens and the earth, the Spirit hovers over the waters, and the Living Word (Jesus) creates life. The second time the Trinity appears it is in bodily form, when three mysterious figures pay a visit to Abraham and Sarah and promise new life.
